For starters open realty lost its first class reputation about two years ago. The only thing it has going for is longevity. There has been no innovation or creative ideas coming out open realty for as long as I can remember. The open realty team is coming apart at the seams, one team member has been awol for over 6 months not only open from open realty but his own cms integration support forum. The egos of the team members are so fragile that when someone wants to help they don’t recognize it as help but as see it as a threat and so over defensive it laughable. I seen one post where a young member offered to contribute some they desperately wanted but was answered by “we are so backlogged and need to make a living that we don’t have time.” He never realized that what was being offered had nothing to do with his time.
The successor to open realty is going to be an integration of wordpress and an open source realty app. Keep your eye on http://wprealty.org/forums. They are just now starting but are already head an shoulders over open-realty.

Hey Aden,
Thanks for the input and updating us on what is going on at OpenRealty as well as the project over at http://wprealty.org/forums. The WPRealty plugin is a commercial plugin and with the add-ons will run the user about $80. If it does what it promises, I’d be happy to both use it and recommend it to my clients. The fact that it runs on the WordPress platform is a real plus in my estimation.
