Digg.com LogoIn 2003, Kevin Rose had a big idea. He went to Elance.com to post a project and look for a PHP programmer, he selected Owen Byrne (Elance username: permafrost) and worked with him to build [tag]Digg.com[/tag] for $10 hr.

Digg.com today:
Digg receives 5 million unique visitors a month – with each visitor viewing 4 pages on average, for a total of 20 million page views.
